The Path of a Lifetime: Stop Rushing Your Journey
Ever asked yourself, “What exactly is this thing called life?”
You’re not alone. We’ve all been there—wondering, wandering, trying to figure it out. Here’s what I’ve learned:
Life Is a Path
It’s not a straight line. Not a smooth highway. It's a path. And like any real path, some parts are cleared and easy. Some are rocky. Others are completely bushy, and no one told us we might need to bring our own machete. But you can clear it. You can walk it. Be courageous.
Life Has Signposts

Have you ever noticed how certain people show up just when you're at a crossroads? Or how a rejection stings so hard it makes you change direction? Those are signposts. People can be signposts—the encouraging ones and even the hurtful ones.
Disappointments sometimes whisper, "This isn’t the way," or, "Just hold on a while longer." Delays, doors that won’t open, gut feelings, breakdowns—all are signs. Even silence can be a sign. But here’s the catch: signs don’t work if you don’t look up. See those people that are everywhere? A lot of times, they don't read the signposts.
Life Has Seasons
Ecclesiastes said it perfectly: there’s a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to harvest, a time to cry and a time to laugh.
Sometimes you're sowing seeds, and sometimes you're reaping. Other times? You're just watering, watering, watering… and waiting. You’re not late. You’re not behind. You’re just in your season. Don’t compare your time of wait to another's time of speed.
Life Has a Pace
Here’s something social media won’t tell you: fast isn’t always right. You might be building in the dark while someone else is shining in the spotlight. And that’s okay.
A woman growing her confidence may not be "moving fast"—but she’s becoming solid. A man learning how to make money may seem stuck—but he’s making room for purpose and posterity.
Life Has a Rhythm
Have you ever noticed that life has a beat? A flow. You walk, you rest, you stumble, you rise. Move at the speed of your own soul.
Rhythm shows up when you stop forcing things and start flowing. It’s in how you know when to say yes, when to say no. When to fight, when to let go. When to build, when to breathe. Everyone’s rhythm is different. Don’t dance to someone else’s song.
In the End: Be You. Take Your Path Seriously.

Please don’t do life like everyone else. You’re not them. And they’re not you. Mind your path. Understand your signs. Respect your season. Embrace your rhythm.
And above all—don’t rush the journey.
This thing called life? It’s confusing but it's beautiful—but it’s yours for now. Own it. Walk it. Live it—fully.
